Diptford C of E primary School is a Voluntary Controlled village primary school for children aged 3-11. There are three classes, one in the main building and two in ‘Devon Lady’ classrooms.  The school also has a large playground, a pond and climbing area, a smaller playground used by Class 1 for outdoor learning, two fields for sport and environmental studies, use of the the parish hall for PE lessons and school meals, use of an adjacent woodland for Forest School activities, a yurt used as an outdoor classroom, a library and a quiet area known as the ‘Diptford Den’ for group learning. We are well equipped with modern ICT resources. We also run an after school club from 3.20pm-5.30pm for busy parents.

The school is part of the Totnes Federation of Village Primary Schools, which comprises 5 small schools situated around the town of Totnes.

Through the Totnes Learning Community, the school has access to a Parent Support Advisor.
