Wear A Hat Day 2018 – we’d love your support!
Wear A Hat Day is the UK’s premier annual brain tumour research fundraising event. This year, it takes place on Thursday 29th March 2018.
Schools up and down the country are getting involved, having fun and helping raise vital funds for research into finding a cure for brain tumours. Diptford has supported this cause in the past and we’d love the children to get involved again.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is the only national charity that invests in sustainable, long-term research at UK Centres of Excellence.
- Plymouth University.
- Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University London, Whitechapel.
- Imperial College and Charing Cross Hospital.
- University of Portsmouth.
We are inviting the Diptford children to ….
Get creative and design and making their own hattastic creation – think toilet rolls, pipe cleaners and lots of glitter. They could make an Easter Bonnet, or use a famous film to inspire them, Willy Wonka, The Mad Hatter, Indiana Jones or Sherlock Holmes to name a few. We look forward to seeing their wonderful creations on Thursday 29th March 2018.
