Dear Parents/Carers,

This year we are really excited to be raising money for Children In Need!  Children In Need 2018 will be supported in schools across the country on Friday 16th November.  Diptford Primary School has decided to get involved and help raise money for this incredible cause. To do our bit and raise money we will be doing:

                             ‘THE DIPTFORD BAKE OFF!’

on Friday 16th November 2018

Children (and staff) are asked to come to school wearing Pudsey colours (blue, red, green and yellow) and something spotty, with a suggested donation of £1 to help support this cause.

Bake sale – Any donations of cakes and biscuits would be warmly welcomed for our bake sale. We are going to be holding the bake sale at break-time, with left over items going on sale after school for parents and carers to buy. If the children would like to buy cakes at break-time, they will need to bring in some change to do so. The goods will be priced roughly around 25-50p each. We ask that no nuts are included in any of the baked goods, due to allergies. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will also be offering a range of activities throughout the day including; Pin the Patch on Pudsey, Name the Teddy, creating a giant Pudsey out of coins and a Fun Run.  Please could your children bring additional loose change to participate in these fun activities.

The best bit is, the money raised by the public is spent by Children In Need to provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. They are local to people in all corners of the UK and support small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices. To learn more about how Children In Need spends the money raised for this cause please visit https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/fundraisinghub.

We really appreciate your support and hope that your child will have fun helping to raise lots of money for Children In Need!
